LoggerAppenderFile

LoggerAppenderFile writes logging events to a file.

This appender requires a layout. If no layout is specified in configuration, LoggerLayoutSimple will be used by default.

The following parameters are available:

Parameter Type Required Default Description
file string Yes - Path to the target file. Relative paths are resolved based on the working directory.
append boolean No true If set to true, the appender will append to the file, otherwise the file contents will be overwritten.

This example shows how to configure LoggerAppenderFile to write to file.log and to overwrite any content present in the file. The target file will be created in the current working directory.

It is also possible to specify an absolute path to the target file, such as /var/log/file.log or D:/logs/file.log
